Post Spawn Smallmouth Bass Fishing – Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia

Catching a few post-spawn smallmouth from a small lake in Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia – June 21, 2012. The bass were feeding on a Coleoptera hatch (not sure of species) as well as yellow perch and some of last years Alewife (aka Gaspereau or Kiack) that must have been stuck in the small lake. We caught a total of two dozen SMB in 2.5 hours on a chugbug, wacky-rigged senkos, a chatterbait and flukes. Sorry for the scratched lens on my GoPro – it’s being fixed. Sound tracks are as follows; 1) Gary Jules – Lucky, 2) Dire Straits – Sultans of Swing, 3) Gary Jules – Pills
